Navigating International Estate Planning Issues
Navigating International Estate Planning Issues
As our world grows smaller, more of our estate planning clients have ties to other countries. Non-citizen spouses, overseas vacation homes, children who study abroad and stay in the other country, all raise international estate planning issues. The tax laws that apply to these scenarios can be surprising and contrary to domestic law. This program includes reviews of several common international situations, focusing on tax traps and planning opportunities.
